Life cycle of zinc

VMZINC has been doing LCA for over 10 years. In each step of the life of zinc material, it shows that zinc is a favorable material compared to others.

Life cycle assessment or LCA (also known as life cycle analysis) is a methodology for assessing environmental impacts associated with all the stages of the life cycle of a commercial product, process, or service. For instance, in the case of a manufactured product, environmental impacts are assessed from raw material extraction and processing (cradle), through the product's manufacture, distribution and use, to the recycling or final disposal of the materials composing it (grave). LCA is recognized by the scientific community as the best methodology to quantify the environmental impacts of a product

VMZINC has been doing LCA for over 10 years. Based on this experience and for the sake of transparency, VMZINC publishes the results of these LCAs in these EPDs (FDES, IBU, BRE, etc.).

You will find below the main advantages of VMZINC products over their entire life cycle.
